About Prayer Ministries

At Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, we offer a variety of prayer meetings throughout the week. These are times to get together before the Lord and fellowship in prayer. We set aside a week annually to seek the Lord in prayer together as the body of Christ, and we have resources for you to enrich your prayer life throughout the year.

We desire to be in prayer with one another and for each other. If you are looking for prayer, we encourage you to come and pray with a member of our prayer team at our 8:30 + 11 AM gatherings. During the week, our ministers are available for our congregation by appointment or for prayer by calling our offices at 714-979-4422.

Prayer Meetings

7:45 AM Sunday Pre-Gathering Prayer: Courtyard
A time for our congregation, ministers, and volunteer teams to pray together for the day ahead.
4 PM Missions Prayer: Family Room (note new time)
An hour of prayer for our missionaries where we pray through the weekly prayer requests received from our missionaries.
12 PM Intercessory Prayer (walk-ins for prayer): Bride’s Room
The Women’s Intercessory Prayer Group is a gathering of women who feel called to pray for the needs of the church.
12 PM Global Crises Prayer: Family Room
This is a specific time set aside to stand in the gap for our brothers and sisters at home and abroad who are going through crises. We will share updated prayer points for our missionaries and the local church each week. For more information, contact Shaun Havelaar at shavelaar@cccm.com.
8:15 AM Moms and Grandmas in Prayer: Bride’s Room
Moms in Prayer is a ministry of moms, aunts, and grandmas who stand in the gap for children and schools, praying scripturally and specifically (Following Women’s Ministry Schedule).
We have transitioned all regular ministry meetings, counseling appointments, and office hours to a Sunday through Thursday schedule. We still host weekend events as needed, but our main schedule reflects this new rhythm.
This shift has been on the hearts of our leadership team for many years—going back to when Pastor Chuck Smith was senior pastor.
This change allows us to better support the needs and growth of Calvary Schools, offer our church staff and ministry team a consistent two-day weekend, and streamline our operations, creating a more unified weekly schedule.
We believe this shift has strengthened both our church community and the ministries we serve. Thank you for your continued support.
