Loren and Jeanna Combs
Calvary Chapel Paphos is an international fellowship with several weekly outreaches. There are Chinese, Vietnamese, and English Bible studies. Cyprus has many asylum seekers from Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. The church has an ongoing food and clothing ministry serving those in the church, but also acts as a community outreach. Since the Ukrainian War, they have an increase of Russians, Ukrainians, and Europeans. Loren is the associate pastor of CCP, co-pastoring with Tim Mattox. Jeanna teaches Sunday school and assists Darlene Mattox and others with the women’s ministry and asylum-seeker outreach.
Prayer Request: Please pray for continued opportunities to share the gospel among their very diverse community, ranging from asylum seekers, war refugees, remote IT workers, local Cypriots, Europeans, and now an ever-increasing number of university students from the Middle East and further away. Pray for an opportunity to start another fellowship in another town where they can be offered the use of a international school facility.
