CULTURE OF GOODNESS
CULTURE OF GOODNESS
We are a Jesus Formed Community on Mission, and while we believe these are the three main ways we are to live out our discipleship to Jesus, we do not only want to be a community that preaches the gospel, but also create a true gospel culture. We invest in this through the following attitudes and postures to create and become a Culture of Goodness.
Honor God’s Image–Humans are made by God and for God. Because of this, we start by seeing one another as “made in the image of God” (Gen. 1:27).
Be Humans with Other Humans–See the divine worth in every person, focusing on their inherent value rather than productivity.
Treat Others as God’s Good Family–Foster respect, dignity, and love while preventing objectification or harm.
Use Authentic Communication–Speak with truth, kindness, and respect, promoting honesty and helpfulness.
Listen Compassionately–Listen deeply with empathy and respond thoughtfully, demonstrating Christlike compassion.
Lead Inclusively–Welcome everyone, ensuring all feel valued and necessary, practicing mutual care and collaboration.
Empower Others–Invest in the growth and success of others, prioritizing character and uplifting others.
