The Helps ministry of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa is geared toward ministering to the body and evangelizing those in need. Our focus is to assist our widows, orphans, elderly, single parents, disabled, and those in our local community. We are a group of believers who seek to bring aid and assistance to those in need.


When We Meet:

We meet as projects come up. To be notified of upcoming projects, please email us.


Areas of Service:

We would love to have anyone who is willing to serve others. Below are some of the areas that we need people for:


Trade skills: painting, drywall, plumbing, woodworking, car repairs, etc.

Twin Peaks and Murrieta work weekends

Transportation of the elderly and disabled 

House and yard cleanups 

Willing heart to serve in some capacity

OC Marathon Water Stations

May 05, 2019

The annual OC Marathon is coming up and we would love your help as we partner with the community to pass out waters at the 17-mile mark on Sunday, May 5, for the OC Marathon. We will be there from 5:30 AM till the last runner passes by (approx. 11:30 AM).


Sign-up to join us at Mile 17 (Bear & Sunflower in Costa Mesa) at the website link below and email helpsministry@cccm.com to let us know you volunteered. Detailed instructions will be sent out to each registered volunteer. 


 As a result of the marathon there will be some road closures in the area: 


Areas to Avoid: 

• Segerstrom Avenue - Eastbound traffic on Segerstrom will be closed from Harbor Boulevard all the way through to Raitt Street. 

• Alton – East and west bound traffic will be closed in between Fairview and Raitt St. 

• Bear Street – north bound will be closed from South Coast Plaza to Sunflower.

• Sunflower - West bound traffic on Sunflower is closed from Bear St to Raitt Street

•  Macarthur Blvd - is closed at Raitt Street (no east or west bound traffic) 


Suggested Directions:

From 405: 

- Take 405 and exit Fairview 

- Head North on Fairview

From 55:

- Take 55 to the 405 North and Exit Fairview

- Head North on Fairview

Neighborhoods north of Segerstrom: 

- Take Warner to Newhope and head South 

- Turn left on Talbert/Macarthur

- Turn right on Fairview

From neighborhoods East of Raitt Street:  

- Take Bristol Street South to 405 

- Take 405 North, exit Fairview 

- Turn right on Fairview
